This service is provided to meet the growing need of our patients and families to obtain the necessary assistance to assure their children's success in school.
Our staff includes a Certified School Psychologist with considerable experience in the field of education.
- Feel frustrated at your child’s progress in school?
- Feel no one understands your child’s needs?
- Need help pinpointing your child’s learning difficulties?
- Feel the school system is delaying assessing your child?
- Need help getting the school to provide the services your child needs?
- An initial session with parents to obtain background and determine if a psychological evaluation or testing is necessary.
- Review of school records.
- Psychological testing for intelligence and learning disabilities or attentional difficulties.
- School and parent questionnaires.
- Preparation of report of findings and recommendations, which can be submitted, to school system for placement or educational assistance.
- Referral for psychiatric evaluation if it is determined your child can benefit from the use of medication.
Services are billed on an hourly basis and insurance companies do not
reimburse for these services. Prior to testing, the evaluator will estimate how many hours it should take to complete the evaluation.
